All dilutions are product:water. When in doubt, start weaker — it's always easier to add concentrate than remove it.

Wash & Foam Cannon Products

Compounds & Polishes (by machine)

Use 4-6 pea-sized drops on a 5-6" pad. Prime new pads with compound before first use. Work 2'x2' sections.

Quick Tips From The Mr. Detail Shop Floor

  • Always rinse concentrate bottles before refilling. Cross-contamination between alkaline (AWH, Green Star) and neutral (CES, GSF) products kills performance.
  • Test panels exist for a reason. New compound + new pad + new paint = test a fender first.
  • Priming pads matters. Fresh foam pad + a few drops of compound + 10 seconds of machine work = primed and ready. Don't dry-cut.
  • Koch chemistry works hot. Panel should be cool to touch before you polish. Don't work polishes in direct summer sun.
  • Green Star is not ceramic-coating safe at wash dilution. Use GSF or CES for maintenance washes on coated cars.
  • CES bottle colors: The US retail bottles ship in cobalt blue. The 1:400 bucket-wash dilution is the sweet spot for most shops.
